Cartographers for the Day

Today we were lucky to have a special visitor stop by. Mrs. Pietrantoni has been visiting the Memorial School third graders for ten years now. She creates Burlington maps with the students from a blank piece of paper. As she is teaching they are reinforcing map skills that they have been learning about all year long. Students are also learning about landmarks and land forms that are all around them. Here are several pictures of the students working hard on creating their maps.
